THE case involving two men accused of murdering Wrexham pensioner Glynis Solmaz will resume at Caernarfon Crown Court today.

Alexandros Weatherill, 23, of Plas Gwyn in Wrexham, and Christopher Curran, 34, of no fixed address, made a four-minute appearance at Wrexham Magistrates Court yesterday morning.

The men face two charges – murdering Ms Solmaz and conspiracy to burgle.

It is alleged both crimes took place at Bryn Hafod in Wrexham.

Justin Espie, prosecuting, said the alleged burglary involved money and jewellery valued at more than £50,000.

Weatherill and Curran were both remanded in custody and will appear at Caernarfon Crown Court today.

They were followed in the dock by Christopher Natt, 52, of Gardd Francis in Penycae, and David Lovell, 29, of Bloom Avenue in Brymbo, who are accused of conspiracy to burgle at Bryn Hafod.

Natt and Lovell were both remanded in custody and are due to appear next at Mold Crown Court on March 8.

The body of Ms Solmaz, who lived alone, was found at her home in Bryn Hafod on Wednesday, February 20.
