VILLAGERS rolled out the magic carpet as Aladdin took centre stage for a pantomime group’s latest show.
Gwernymynydd village centre was packed to capacity for all five performances as the cast, who all live in either Gwernymynydd or Cadole, took their audience on a magical panto journey.
Director Maureen Rutherford said she was delighted with the sell-out performances.
She said: “We had five memorable shows. The audience and cast were buzzing.
“So much hard work goes into putting on a pantomime such as this and we have had young children working alongside pensioners to ensure the show’s success.
“And, of course, we cannot thank enough all those who worked so hard behind the scenes, from those that made the sets to make-up artists and hair dressers and lighting and sound technicians.
“It was a wonderful team effort and everyone connected with the show should be very proud.”
