A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital with facial injuries after an unprovoked attack on Saturday evening.
The assault took place as he walked down Kingsmills Road from Hightown to Marchwiel just after 7.30pm.
As he crossed the second junction for Kingsmills he became aware of two male youths walking behind him.
He was punched to the right side of his face causing bruising, before he managed to break free and run off towards Marchwiel.
The attacker is described as around 5ft 5ins tall, of average build and was wearing a black hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms and spoke with a local accent.
The second youth was slightly taller and was wearing a grey hooded jacket and black trousers.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 7.47pm to an incident in Marchwiel. A male in his early teens was taken to the Maelor with facial injuries.”
