PLANS for more than 70 new homes could move forward this week.
An outline application for 71 properties on Maes Pennant Road, Mostyn, will go before Flintshire Council’s planning and development control committee on Wednesday.
The site adjacent to Bychton Hall Farm is allocated for development in the Flintshire Unitary Development Plan.
Planning officers are recommending approval is granted, subject to more than 20 conditions being met by applicants Mullhill Estates LLP.
This includes them entering into a Section 106 agreement which will see them provide funding for access to affordable homes, education provision and improvements at Ysgol Bryn Pennant and upgrading recreational facilities in the area.
Three letters of objection were received, including concerns over access and infrastructure.
During consultation, Cllr Patrick Heesom said the proposals would represent an “overdevelopment” of the site.
Mostyn Community Council has objected to the proposals, for reasons including them being “excessive in scale”.
