A YOUNG girl was left shaken after a man approached her late at night near a railway line.
The 15-year-old was not hurt but police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area, near the railway bridge on Chester Road, West Shotton, at about 11pm on Monday (DEL Jan 28).
The man was described as being in his late 30s or early 40s, wearing dark clothing and “acting suspiciously”.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious incident involving a 15-year-old-girl who was approached by a man near the railway bridge on Chester Road, West Shotton, around 11pm on Monday 28 January 2013.
“The girl was unhurt but shaken by the experience and police are asking for anyone in the area at the time who may have seen a man described as in his late 30s or early 40s, wearing dark clothing and acting suspiciously to contact TDS Sarah Fellows at Mold CID on 01978 348728 or the control room on 101 quoting reference number P014520.”
