RESIDENTS are being asked to come up with ideas towards a £100,000 revamp of a town’s main square.
Money has been secured from Europe to help transform Daniel Owen Square in Mold in a bid to attract more visitors.
Mold town centre manager David Hill said: “It’s the first meaningful investment in public space for more than 15 years.
“We are looking for ideas and thoughts about how the town square can be used to the best advantage of the community.”
A consultation workshop will be held on Wednesday in the Daniel Owen Centre from 3.30pm until 7pm and is an opportunity for groups, traders and the public to share their views and ideas about the project.
The workshop will be informal and is on a ‘drop-in’ basis.
Mr Hill added: “We are hoping we will be able to create a performance area to encourage local groups and bands.
“It’s going to be unique in terms of public space.”
