Conwy residents hit to the polls yesterday for the county council and town council elections.

The elections will see Conwy residents select town councillors to represent their local area, as well as 59 county councillors to govern its 39 electoral divisions, with each councillor representing their ward for a four year term. 

37.1% of the electorate turned out to vote, down from 42% in 2008.
