Conwy residents hit to the polls yesterday for the county council and town council elections.

The elections will see Conwy residents select town councillors to represent their local area, as well as 59 county councillors to govern its 39 electoral divisions, with each councillor representing their ward for a four year term. 

37.1% of the electorate turned out to vote, down from 42% in 2008.

As the votes are counted, The North Wales Pioneer will be keeping you up to date on who's been selected by North Wales residents to oversee 

The winning candidate will be highlighted as and when they are named victorious in their respective ward. Keep an eye on this page throughout the morning to find out first who's top of the polls in your ward.
