It’s doctor’s orders as Alan Fletcher aka Dr Karl Kennedy from Neighbours, comes to the Students’ Guild at Glyndwr University on Monday, October 12.
He will perform with British band the X-Rays in an event open to the public as well students at the university.
To millions of people all around the world, Alan is Dr Karl Kennedy from Australia’s longest running drama Neighbours.
Alan has portrayed the role of Dr Karl for 12 years of the programme’s 21 year history and is a very popular character, especially alongside on-screen wife, Susan Kennedy.
An actor for 30 years, Alan has performed in more than 50 theatrical productions, numerous television programs, mini-series and feature films and written and performed for radio drama and comedy.
He is regarded highly as a musician and has toured the UK several times with his band, playing to thousands of fans.
The set list combines covers of iconic rock tunes, mixed with their own brand of quirky fun rock songs and ballads.
Among his famous songs are I’ve Got a Crush on Susie K, a dedication to Susan Kennedy.
A fun night is guaranteed and the bar will be at student prices. The Students’ Guild will be open from 8.30pm and is located on the university campus.
Tickets are priced at £5 students and £10 public in advance.
