IF YOU have always wanted to visit the circus, now is your chance, as Circus Funtasia has come to town.

The circus, which is taking place at Bryn y Grog in Marchwiel, is not your typical big-top performance. Featuring wire walkers, fire breathers, acrobatic stunts and of course, the famous 'Globe of Death', Circus Fantasia is a modern take on the traditional circus experience.

Tracy Jones, the ringmistress of Circus Funtasia said: "It's been six years since we started this, but I joined the circus when I was 16. I started out working for a man who had horses and started doing little things here and there. In the end I was doing more and more and I stayed because I love it.

"It's a really modern show, absolutely heart stopping but it's suitable for any age. And there are no scary clowns!"

Emilion Delbosq is the circus 'clown' and comes from a long line of circus performers. Hi character is not the typical clown though, instead he plays 'the geek'. Talking about his role, he said: "It's my job to keep the show together and make everyone laugh.

"I get the audience involved too. I like to make a movie with them and get them to act out various scenes. It's a challenge every day, but some people are really funny and even make me laugh."

Circus Funtasia is at Bryn y Grog in Marchwiel until Sunday, with afternoon and evening shows and tickets are available at circusfuntasia.co.uk
