MUCH of the nation's attention may have been on another marriage but it did not stop a Wrexham couple from enjoying their own perfect wedding on Saturday

Bethan Hughes, 27, and Aaron Aldous, 26, were married at the All Saints Church in Gresford on Saturday at the same time as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot at Windsor.

Bethan and Aaron's wedding may not have been royal but it was no less stylish, with the bride arriving at the church in a white Rolls Royce Phantom with her father Paul and daughter Poppy.

Groom Aaron Aldous waited inside the church with his best man John Foster and 75 guests.

The ceremony was conducted by Canon J Tudor Hughes and Sonia Mellor gave the bible reading from Corinthians 13: 1-7.

On the day guests sang several hymns including Give Me Joy in My Heart, Make Me a Channel of Your Peace and Lord of the Dance.

After the church the couple from Broughton Heights, Pentre Broughton and their guests continued on to the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel for their reception.

Speaking the day after the ceremony Bethan said: "It went really well.

"I forgot the royal wedding even happened really, I was so caught up in what was going on.

"Everything went to plan and the whole day went smoothly and we had a really good night afterwards.

"It's all a bit overwhelming really. We haven't really had time to think about it. We've had family and friends round, but it's back to work on Monday."
