RESIDENTS have organised a spring clean of their local area recently, collecting litter and recycling many unwanted household items.
The clean-up in the Hafan y Ewan and Llys y Castell areas of Kinmel Bay, was organised by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, supported by the Crest Co-operative social enterprise.
Louise Blackwell, community development officer for Clwyd Alyn, said: “The residents really embraced the opportunity to improve their local neighbourhood. We sourced a couple of skips using a Clwyd Alyn local development grant and Rod Williams arranged for a team from the Crest Co-operative to collect any unwanted items that could be recycled.”
“It was a brilliant team effort from all involved, including Clwyd Alyn caretaker John Roberts, who was a brilliant help on the day too, along with housing officer Laura Stephens who really grafted and went above and beyond.”
