Residents at a supported living scheme have been given expert tips on saving money.

People living in the Greenbank Villas Scheme in Church Street, Flint attended a ‘Green Doctor’ advice session organised by Groundwork North Wales, a local environment-based charity.

They were given expert tips on how to save money and be energy-efficient when they move on to live independently in the community.

Resident Christopher Jamie Swinnerton said: “It was very good to receive new information.

“I will definitely contact them when I move on.”

As well as advice and lots of energy-saving free samples each of the residents received a contact information card so that they stay in touch before the move on and receive additional advice about potential savings in their new home.

Project worker Georgina Taylor said: “I feel this would be beneficial to every resident who is moving on from supported living and it is definitely something I will be looking in to personally as well.”
