A FORMER postman who created a school in Africa is hoping the kettle will be constantly on the boil during his latest fundraising event. Ron Cavie, of Prestatyn – who founded St Ronnie’s Academy in the small village of Shanzu, a suburb of the Kenyan city of Mombasa – will host a coffee morning on Saturday, June 10 at the Jubilee Community Centre on Seabank Drive, Prestatyn.

A JESTER and wizard conjured up balloon animals, tricks and illusions during a Spring Fun event in Prestatyn. Erwyd Le Fol, the Conwy Jester and Jay Gatling entertained shoppers and visitors with their street performances. The two-day event, which ran last Thursday and Friday, also featured a high street treasure hunt. Crafts and activities were held in Artisans Collective at the Old Library.
