LLAY WELFARE are ready for one of their biggest games in years tonight.

With the Cymru Premier and Cymru North campaigns all done and dusted, the attention centres on the Ardal League - and in particular the North West section where the top two, Flint Mountain and Llay, clash head-on this evening at The Ring (kick-off 6.30pm).

Flint head to Llay two points clear at the top but the hosts, who are on a 13-match unbeaten run, have played one game less and the title is now in their hands.

Llay manager Mike Gadie said: “We’re all excited for the match.

“The fact that we’re in this position now is down to the relentless work ethic of our players.

“Regardless of the result, I am extremely proud of every one of them.”

Flint Mountain manager Aden Shannon said: “It’s a massive game but one we are really looking forward to.

“I always said it would be us or Llay to win it. Both clubs have put themselves in a massive position in the league and that’s credit to both sets of players.”
